The League - A Date?

For those of you who may not remember, The League has a feature called League Live. What is it exactly? Well you sign up to save your spot and if you're a paying user then you are automatically in. Every Sunday and Wednesday night you have to open the app at 9:00pm for the chance to talk to someone else over a video call, much like FaceTime. You only have a few minutes and get matched with three different people. You can then go on from there to match and chat with them more or swipe left and say you aren't interested. I did this long ago back in February and wrote about it here, which seems fake but time isn't real during Covid honestly. Today's post is all about one of the guys I ended up chatting with!

The League - League Live

Well, I've finally done it everyone! I managed to make it onto the League Live list and actually get chosen to have matches for a video chat! Now, I've been on the list plenty of times before, even cracking the top 100 out of thousands but still didn't get the chance to try out the video chat dating. I thought it was all about first come first serve in terms of signing up but apparently not. I think it's partially because I'm not a paying member, since I got in for free but it's not my fault I'm not paying for their app. It's not like it's given me any matches, save for Mr. F. but I feel we are all well aware and over that story. So, let's talk about my experience using League Live for the first time!

I think The League is trying to get rid of me at this point. I'm not a paying costumer because I was on the wait list when it launched in Las Vegas. I managed to be high enough on the list to get my free membership. At this point I feel like they keep cycling me through the same handful of guys as if I won't notice or maybe because they hope that will for some reason make me want to pay and join. Either way I came across a profile that didn't exactly scream impressive but it did make me wonder if it was a subtle hint that the guy was amazing.

Now if you're like me you're thinking, wait hasn't it been a while since anything has been posted about Mr. F. then you are absolutely correct! It's been a few months! Actually it's been about five month since we first met on the app and got together in person.

For those of you who follow me on twitter you know that it's been a bit of a whirlwind these past few weeks due to one Mr. F. If you've watched Arrested Development I hope you enjoy the reference just because I find it funny. Sadly, it is not Charlize Theron though who I met. Although wouldn't have have been super surprising? Now that would be a big surprise. Anyway, let's get on to the story.

Have you heard of The League? It's supposed to be the latest and greatest dating app that is quite exclusive. Most people have to pay to use it and even before being able to do that you have to have signed up for it and waited on a waiting list. I swear I signed up for this apps waiting list back in March of this year and it only finally just launched a month ago here in Vegas. I guess I was early enough to get in but I figured I'd give you all the low down on how the app is going.
