OkCupid - I Eat Flesh

I just had to share what @harleybangbang came across while swiping on the dating apps. I mean, the photo confused me and took me by surprise just from the small portion I could see at first. Then seeing the full version I couldn't help but shake my head and sigh. Is this what we've come to? Well, not we as a collective but this is what we get? I don't think we did anything to deserve them so fair warning it's just... weird. This is why we can't have nice things.

OkCupid - Trust Me

Well Becky aka @tothaground had this lovely conversation happen while on swiping on the dating app. It's kind of ridiculous how some people just tend to lead off on the wrong foot. I mean, there's a difference between doing it on accident and doing it completely on purpose, which is what the following guy has done. You can't tell me otherwise because I just won't believe you. 

OkCupid - Luckiest Cowboy

As some of you know from following me Twitter or just from my posts on here I do enjoy traveling and I get to travel quite a bit. I've mentioned before that I always like when someone on the dating apps asks me about traveling because it's a good conversation starter! There is so much to discuss when it comes to going new places and seeing new things because it's an actual conversation. Some places are well known and others not as well known so it's fun to learn new things. Today though I had a guy message me about my luck, which I didn't take too well.

Ok Cupid - Quote Book

Well it's been a while since we've seen anything from Ok Cupid. I suppose that's probably a good thing in the sense that maybe the people aren't there aren't as terrible or pathetic. Then again I just don't know what to think of half of the dating bios at this point. It seems plenty of people want to talk but not for very long. Either way, let's get on to today's profile!

OkCupid - Number Love

Well OkCupid changed things up so it is no longer all about usernames but it seems that guys still haven't learned what sort of message they should send as an introduction. Will they ever learn? Maybe this shut down/lock down will help them gain a few braincells. At least this guy knew to start with a compliment I suppose, but then it just sort of fell apart after that.

I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday season! Due to it being the holidays I haven't been swiping as much since I'm out of town and enjoying time with friends and family. I'm not the type of person who swipes while traveling, considering I'm not looking for a random hookup. Besides, I get annoyed by people only visiting Vegas for the weekend and being on the dating apps so I'm not trying to be a hypocrite. Due to that I present a funny first message I hope you all enjoy.

OkCupid - Please Message Me

It has been a while since I've messed around with OkCupid but that's mostly because it never really yielded any viable matches for me. I mean, I've actually met with a few people from Bumble and Coffee Meets Bagel but OkCupid never gave me much of anything. So for kicks I decided to check out what I had on the app and you'll find that this guy really doesn't plan things out.

You know, sometimes you just get a message that makes you question why you even bother using dating apps in the first place. Like sure, you have the possibility of meeting someone and falling in love but at what cost? You definitely have to go through a lot of toads, or even worse than that, to hopefully find a prince if that's possible. Today we have a guy who has a kind offer thanks AwkoTacoDates so let's see what we have.

OkCupid - Fake Fan

I always find it interesting when people want you to prove that you're a "real" fan of something. As if knowing a bunch of background information or trivia means that you're any more of a fan than someone else. We all enjoy things in our own ways. I can't say I know every little detail when it comes to my favorite tv shows but I still enjoy them. People just enjoy things in different ways. Today there was a guy who thought that it was time to make a liar out of someone saying they liked anime or even video games.

OkCupid - 3rd Time No Charm

I've said it before and I'll say it again, people need to pay attention to profiles on dating apps. Most of the time they are quite telling in regards to whether or not a conversation needs to happen. I've seen plenty that make me immediately swipe left, no matter how attractive the person may be. Today I present to you someone who didn't quite understand that a boring first message and not paying attention to a profile proves that the third time is not always a charm.

OkCupid - Papa Sloth?

Today I have to share with you a message I received that definitely stood out from the usual messages. Someone took notice of my picture with a sloth, which is slightly surprising because usually I only get comments from girls on Bumble BFF about it. Either way the guy on OKCupid decided to send me a first message in relation to the picture, which sounds good in theory, but boy once you read it I hope you see how much he failed. Please enjoy and maybe be as confused as I am.

OkCupid - Hit For Coffee

We've talked about introductions plenty of times throughout the life of this blog. Apparently there is no change in the struggle to make an introduction. OkCupid recently made it a bigger deal to be able to respond to other's photos that are on their profile. That can be cool at times, if the person actually says something about your photo. Today the radiologist decided to respond to a photo without actually saying anything about the photo.

OkCupid - Hey Ho Part 2

Remember that guy who started a conversation with "Hey ho"? If you don't click here to refresh your memory on that one. Once you're caught up again come back to this. So, as I was saying at the end of that post the guy never responded. That seemed fair enough. He called me a name so I called him a name. He obviously couldn't handle it if he thought it was a joke or he just realized the error of his ways and decided to shut up. Strap yourselves in because it gets better, or at least better in the sense of more entertaining.

OkCupid - Snap Code

I am sure we have all experienced strangers giving out their Instagram handle on a dating app because they think it will be cool to have you follow them on there. I get that some people think it is a great way to learn about someone because they get to see more snapshots of their life. Trust me, I've checked out some of the Instagram accounts connected to dating profiles out of curiosity and learned enough to immediately swipe left. Some people really do know how to show off the worst things about them. It has been a true life saver though so I can't really complain. Now we're entering the age of Snapchat and that just becomes even more questionable. Especially when someone uses their snap code as their profile picture.

OkCupid - Hey Ho

Conversation starters aren't always easy. I've had the guy who thought that being a jar opener was an impressive introduction. Then I had the guy who actually had the fun idea about shopping and playing tetris because we were both tall. Today though we have someone who either doesn't know how to start a conversation or maybe just doesn't know how to be funny. I seriously can't understand why it has become so hard to start a conversation with a stranger. It seems like something that happens every day but apparently there are those who struggle with it and I do mean really struggle with it. Let me share with you what message I received today.

OkCupid - You Will Like It

We've had to talk about profiles plenty of times on this blog. We have those who share too much or share too little. Some just never seem to find the perfect amount of sharing just enough information to go off of. Today we have someone who really doesn't seem to grasp the idea of a self summary. It should be easy to list off some stats about yourself like your age, what you do for work, where you went to school, and what you enjoy doing. Let me show you what struggle I had to see today.

OkCupid - Sweat Emoji Love?

Remember how there was a movie all about emojis and how they had secret lives? I mean, I only remember it because of the commercial trailer but I never actually saw it. It was one giant advertisement for a bunch of apps that paid the most money. Either way emojis are becoming even more important on dating apps. That isn't to say that emojis are just now being used or anything like that but I'm starting to encounter them even more in first messages. Today I discovered that either I'm old or I just don't know what emojis mean.

OkCupid - A Sign of Insanity

Filling out a profile on a dating app is very important to most people. You can't just have one photo or no photo along with no info. That is completely and totally sketch. It does not make me want to find out more about you. Instead is does the opposite, it makes me want to completely avoid you. The profiles are pretty easy to fill out on most dating apps with super easy and quick questions. They can be filled out when you first sign up and then you don't have to worry about it again. Today we find someone with their profile not filled out might be insane from Sarah.

OkCupid - Shat On It

Story telling is a great way to get to know someone. It's fun to get a glimpse into someone else's nature by the way they express themselves with a story. Even listening to the story that somehow gets decided upon can be funny because of what a person admits they want to leave out. Sure, some people just aren't very good at telling stories but that is their loss. It's something to work on. Today I present to you someone who could have been good at story telling, but still needs to work on properly ending the story.

OkCupid - Take It Back

Some people make a total u-turn in their conversations. I mean, they say one thing and then back track and try to say something else. It's different if someone changes their mind or opinion about something. That happens all the time as people learn and grow. For a guy to send the first message, be rejected, and then suddenly act like the girl is the problem is just sad. Today we have Sarah to thank for this but maybe there is some redemption for the guy.
