Life is Beautiful Art Review

Life is Beautiful is not only just a music festival but also an art festival! There was Crime on Canvas presented by Chick-fil-A (which hallelujah I've been waiting forever for them to come to Vegas and they finally are!) and then there was plenty of street art as well. In this post I'm sharing some of my favorite pieces that I saw while attending the festival. Enjoy!

If you want to see the lineup of artists that were displayed click here. I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I do. It was fun walking around to discover them.

This was an awesome display of wall art that was just done on the side of a building. I saw some of it coming together thanks to Snapchat but it was awesome to see in person. I mean, just by looking at it you can tell there was a lot of time and effort put into it. To even make those creases and pull back the wall to show the art within is a very cool concept/idea.

This whale is by Martin Wittfooth. It was definitely one of my favorite pieces in the collection displayed. I mean, what isn't there to like about it? I loved the details and everything with the whale just swimming along above the rooftops.

Two pieces obviously by the same artist making a political statement that really makes me laugh. I mean, it's obviously making fun of Washington D.C. and the government with everything that is going on with the election this year. If these pieces don't make you think then something is wrong with you.

Poor Charlie Brown. Life as a shorty shouldn't be so rough! I always think of my mother when it comes to Peanuts because she loves the comic strip so much. This was a fun piece of wall art to stumble upon while going inbetween stages.

Zappos had a corner lot with a giant moth that had wings made from paper mache or paper squares. I'm not quite sure because I didn't want to mess with it too much and break anything. It was really a nice shady spot but it was quite a sight. I couldn't get a full picture without having something block it though so I apologize.

If this isn't a cool mashup of animals in nature with a bit of dystopia in it then I don't know what is. I always tend to be drawn to art that shows human society out of the picture and this piece does just that. There's aren't any humans in sight and two predators and sizing each other up in the new world order.

This was a cool design done that reminded me of my friend Wes for some reason. I can't explain it but just try to tell me that this isn't something you'd like to have some backstory on because I'll call you a liar. I want and need to know more about the girl displayed and why such a creature is on her head.

Robb Stark is that you? Sorry I couldn't resist. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the piece but the use of colors in the background made it easily stand out among some of the other pieces it was next to.

If you live in Texas I expect you to up your game when it comes to hanging a skull in your home. This was so cool up close and in person to get a look at thanks to the details all over the skull.

Bend your mind just a bit. Apparently this was an installment at Dismaland which makes it even more fancy apparently. I just thought it looked amazing because you never see a semi truck bending like that, not even if it was a Transformer.

This piece was here again this year and was there last year as well. One of my new friends explained to me that it took the artist quite a while to make because it's all scrap metal. If that doesn't make it ten times cooler than I don't know what does.

There was a huge display like this last year in all white and people started to write on it in sharpies. This year it was colorful and lit up so plenty of people started to make a line in order to get a photo in front of it. I'm not sure if you could consider it art but I thought it was a fun piece to get a picture in front of.

So what do you think of the art that I found at Life is Beautiful Festival? Do you have a favorite piece from the pictures I posted above? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

*I paid for my own Life is Beautiful 3 Day GA Pass but hit me up LIB because I'd love to go again next year!*

  2. The first one is my favorite. So much detail and, I'd put that on my wall. I've never been to a festival like this. Seems fun!
